An Open Invitation

We invite you to attend the Anaheim church of Christ. A sincere effort will always be made to preach and teach the pure, simple truth of the gospel of Christ. We do not try to appeal to emotions or use sensationalism at any time.

You will also notice that we do not have any professional singers or choirs, organs, or any other musical instruments; just congregational singing where everyone is encouraged to participate but where none are compelled to sing. Every Sunday we will also have the Lord’s supper, several prayers, and sermons from the Bible by some of the members (Colossians 3:16).

Perhaps you will hear scriptures or truths that you have never heard before. Our only standard of religious authority is the Bible as God’s inspired word. You are encouraged to bring your Bible, to participate in studies, to take notes, and (like the Bereans of Acts 17:11) to search the scriptures daily “to see if those things were so”.

You may leave your purse at home, because you will not be asked for one cent at any time. The Anaheim church of Christ is financed completely by its members (not its visitors) setting aside money on the first day of the week “as God has prospered them” (1 Corinthians 16:1-2). We ask financial support from no one else, and by no other means.

We feel that the Bible consists of facts to be believed, commands to be obeyed, warnings to be heeded, and promises to be enjoyed. We do not teach the Bible as being dark, profound, and mysterious; rather as the light of God, our only safe guide to show us how to please God, and how to obtain eternal life with God in heaven. We try to always preach God’s word in Love, trusting that everyone will look into it as into a mirror, trying to make himself a better person in God’s sight, always testing his personal life and responsibility by God’s Book.

You can expect to be greeted with kindness and courtesy. Every effort will be made to make you feel welcome, but no effort will be made to embarrass or pressure you in any way.

Why not come and meet with us next Sunday?
